California news tower climbed by man waving "Free Billie Eilish" sign

On Tuesday, a guy with a "Free Billie Eilish" placard climbed a TV tower in Hollywood, causing the street to be closed for more than three hours.

An unidentified man climbed the 162-foot tower at California's KTLA news station and played his guitar for bystanders below.

The musical "protester" was only able to climb 30 feet up the tower before he was apprehended by police just after midnight (PST).

Video posted online showed the giant inflatable airbag used by the Los Angeles Fire Department to help lower the man safely from the tower.

According to the outlet, officials have called the man a "protestor," but it is unclear what he was protesting.

The man was also carrying a white sheet that stated, "MK ultra sex slaves donald marshall clones."

Because of the incident, authorities closed off the roads leading up to the TV tower, causing a standstill in traffic.

As officials begged with the man to leave the tower, power was cut to the structure.

According to CBS 8 producer Malik Earnest, the man was arrested and charged with trespassing.
